Welcome to Bristol
Bristol is a vibrant and colourful city, England's historic west-coast port, where ships sailed to the Americas with merchants and emigrants and returned with cotton and sugar. Today the harbour front is home to fashionable restaurants, galleries and apartments.
The magnificent Clifton Suspension Bridge across the Avon Gorge has become a symbol of Bristol's engineering past. Built 150 years ago by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, it makes a popular destination for visitors. So too does the first transatlantic steamship, his SS Great Britain.

Thirteen miles east of Bristol lies the charming city of Bath - truly amazing Georgian and Roman architecture that has become a World Heritage Site.
Bristol hosts such diverse cultural events as the Bristol Harbour Festival, Balloon Fiesta, Kite Festival and St. Paul's Carnival. There are plenty of art galleries and museums, including the modern Arnolfini and the educational @Bristol. And London and Oxford are just over an hour away by train, making ideal daytrips.
Berlitz is right in the City Centre in the Park Street and offers English and foreign language courses year round.
