Welcome to Oxford
Oxford is home of England's oldest university, and to this day maintains the highest academic traditions. With its pretty medieval centre, easily covered by foot or rented bicycle, yet only 40 minutes from London Heathrow by bus, Oxford makes the ideal location for a study visit.

The Berlitz Centre is bang in the middle of Oxford, spread comfortably over three floors of an elegant Georgian building. Host families and charming hotels are never far away in this relaxed centre of learning.
A walking tour of Oxford's medieval college building and gardens is a real attraction. This will generally end in a charming, oak-beamed pub - maybe even the one directly under the Berlitz Centre! Oxford has a fabulous Victorian Natural Museum, full of dinosaurs and shrunken heads, and the comprehensive Ashmolean with its Egyptian relics and impressionist paintings. Every college - and there are 37 of them - has its own treasures.
Boating on the Thames, or a visit to Stratford-upon Avon's theatres, are easily in an afternoon or summer evening, and London can be reached in just over an hour. There is no shortage of evening activities in Oxford, and our staff will be very pleased to help with advice.
