Residential programme in Stratford
Pretty Stratford sits right in the middle of England, surrounded by the rolling green hills of the Cotswolds and with the River Avon flowing gently through the town. This is William Shakespeare’s hometown, and home now to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre Company. The town centre is built in well-preserved Tudor style, with its characteristic sixteenth-century black-and white facades. In the summer the narrow streets buzz with cafes and visitors. There are several Shakespeare-related museums, and of course many theatres (showing not only Shakespeare plays!). Horse-riding and golf can be found in the nearby countryside, and boat trips and rowing can be taken on the Avon.

What to see and do?
Stratford is a small town, but with great charm and a cosmopolitan atmosphere particularly in the summer when the narrow streets buzz with cafes and visitors. There are several Shakespeare-related museums and theatres (showing not only Shakespeare plays!), and boat trips and rowing can be taken on the Avon. Birmingham, England’s second-largest city is only 30 km away. There you can find art galleries and concert halls and a vibrant canalside night life.
