English Classes

Topics: music, fashion, sports, food, holidays, social media, the environment, Nottingham Forest and Robin Hood, The British Way of life.

Accommodation

Worksop College is located in the stunning landscape of northern Nottinghamshire, very close to Nottingham Forest. Beautiful grounds and woodland surround the historic buildings and there are superb indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The pretty town of Worksop with its supermarkets, interesting shops and cafés is just a short bus ride away.
Our Camp offers very comfortable and luxurious accommodation. Students stay in bedrooms with 1 – 4 beds with shared showers and toilets. The bedrooms are equipped with comfortable beds, fresh and crisp bed linen, desks, chairs and free WI-FI. 
The camp offers fantastic food with three hot meals every day and lots of tasty and healthy choices to suit everyone. Special Dining Options: vegetarian, vegan, gluten free options and allergy-related diets on request.

Special Programmes

Full Day excursion, for example
  • Full Day excursion to York, including a guided sightseeing tour and visit to the Jorvik Viking Centres
  • Mablethorpe beach, funfair and Seal Sanctuary
Two half-day excursions per week, for example:
  • Rother Valley Country Park with boating, stand-up paddling, canoeing and bicycle tours
  • Treetop High Ropes Adventure
  • Tropical Butterfly House Wildlife and Falconry Centre
  • Cresswell Crags Gorge Prehistoric Caves

Afternoon and evening activities

Fun afternoon sports and creative programs at camp, for example:
  •  Cricket and rounders
  •  T-Shirt styling
  • Theatre and dance projects
  • Tennis and football
  • School Magazine and website project
 
Evening programmes:
Quiz night, Movie night, Casino night, Disco and karaoke, Talent show, BBQ and camp fire, Hollywood theatre night, Bake off competition
